Preschool and Children's Ministry

Children
Children are very important people at First Baptist Church of Midland.  We are committed to helping each child grow up feeling good about God, church, and himself so he will eagerly absorb God's love and God's Word into his head, heart, and actions.  Children in grades 1-6 receive special attention, instruction, love, and care at FBC.

We know that feeling good about God and church is the first step in choosing to follow God.  We work at making each child's church time happy, fun, friendly, and exciting.  We want to support parents in the challenge of parenting and to ensure the best for our children's future.  We make the most of every opportunity grade-school children are at church to teach them about the love of Jesus.
 
Bible Life Group is the foundation of our ministry
to Children.  Each week, loving, caring adults share
the love of Christ with 1st-6th graders through Bible
Study, games, songs, crafts, and lots of other fun activities.
Each department provides children with large group and small
group experiences.

We offer Bible Life Groups for children at 9:50 a.m. and 11:11 a.m. each week. Children’s departments are organized by grade level.  Since Bible Life Group is a Bible study, children should bring their Bibles each week.  If your child does not have a Bible, let us know and we will be delighted to present your child with a new Bible at no cost to you.  Parents should clearly communicate with children and leaders where their family will meet following Sunday School.  Parents are encouraged to pick up their children from the classroom.

Our purpose is to reach grade-school kids for Christ and help them grow in that relationship through worship, discipleship, ministry and fellowship.
